The University of North Carolina just got a huge boost for its defensive side of the ball as Daquan Romero committed to the Tar Heels Thursday. Romero accumulated thirty sacks as a junior. He is a defensive end linebacker hybrid prospect and could play either of those in college. He chose North Carolina over offers from Virginia, Old Dominion, West Virginia, and Maryland. Romero was the Tar Heel's sixth commit on the year. He said that is was the atmosphere and academics is the main reason why North Carolina was the school for him.
