Louisiana and Georgia prospects stay within state

The LSU Tigers got a big boost on Friday for their 2011 recruiting class. Offensive lineman prospect Trai Turner has committed to play for the Tigers. The manmouth 6'5 340 pound prospect is LSU's third offensive lineman in the class and the eleventh overall. He hails from New Orleans and attends St. Augustine high school. He had over 26 scholarship offers including from schools Florida State, Alabama, and Oklahoma. LSU just offered him two weeks ago because they were evaluating him throughout this process and just did not give him a scholarship based on film, instead they got to know the young man and that is why he chose LSU over the other schools.
